Hi, I'm Stella! 👋 I am a Staff Software Engineer based in Melbourne, Australia, with over 8 years of experience building resilient, distributed systems.

Over the last two years, my focus has gravitated deeply toward Platform Engineering and Observability. I love making complex, large-scale systems visible, structured, and built to last.

🛠️ What I Do

  • Telemetry Infrastructure: Architecting and maintaining robust data pipelines. I have hands-on experience building end-to-end telemetry systems processing terabytes of logs daily using tools like Vector, Amazon Kinesis, Kubernetes (EKS), and AWS Fargate.
  • System Migration & Consolidation: Technical lead for major architecture shifts, including moving hundreds of microservices from legacy platforms (like Splunk) to unified observability suites (like Datadog), and decomposing large legacy monoliths into sleek, isolated microservices.
  • Engineering Leadership: Beyond the code, I am deeply invested in the human side of engineering. I establish sustainable team operational rhythms, design engineering interview tracks, and mentor engineers to help them grow their technical confidence and careers.
